Et vellykket eksempel på  floromvundet hyldestdigtning i sen barokstil, der sætter Gud , Konge og herremandslsvældet ukritisk i centrum - det formildes dog af de fyldige personalhistoriske noter, der beskriver den Thottske families historie helt tilbage fra kong Arilds tid - men man kan alligevel ikke lade være med at trække på smilebåndet.
Bjørn Christian Lund (1738-1809) var lærer ved Waisenhuset, og måske var det hans litterære udfoldelser her, der skaffede ham et embede som residerende kapellan i Store Hedinge og sognepræst i Højrup lige efter udgivelsen. .
